    Best Bag!

My Summit bag here in Australia had a mishap on the ramp a few days ago where the Porter dropped us off at our aircraft and reversed over it as we were loading our overnight gear into the cargo. He skull dragged the bag a couple of meters under the car, which had (among other things) my Jepp manuals, Porsche prescription sunglasses, and brand new Bose A20 headset. It’s fair to say that was about AUD$4500 see disappear under a vehicle. The sunglasses and headset worried me the most, not to mention the new bag. Obviously the Porter had to drive forward to get off of the bag, but once I had it back I’m pleased to say nothing was bent out of shape or damaged. I have no idea how. The thing that really got me was that the bag was flawless. I’m completely sold.

You have the best product on the market and I can personally vouch for that. Great work!

Thank you for your story! That’s why we are in business, so that you can travel without the worry! I hope you get a long life out of the bag!

      Cheers,

    Ticks all the boxes

My faux leather flight case was nearing the end of a typical two month life span. In search of a more lasting and workable replacement I came up with the following criteria:

    1) Had to fit three Jepps binders, company departure procedures binder, two thin A5 technical information binders, Bose headset, iPad, logbook, licence wallet, passport, pencil case, two sets of prescription glasses, glasses cleaning cloth, high-vis vest, torch, pack of mints and a team of baseball players,
    2) Had to be made of a high quality, flexible, tear resistant and durable fabric and components,
    3) Had to fit in the SAAB340 (46cm x 26cm Max.) and allow access to the side pockets,
    4) Top access was a must,
    5) It had to integrate with roll-aboard luggage, therefore negating the need for wheels and freeing up internal real estate,
    6) Had to be small enough to still warrant its use after moving to an EFB.

The Summit ticks all the boxes, and at a great price!

The removable internal dividers allowed me to setup the case as I pleased, and the semi-rigid fabric construction comes with the added benefit that it adapts to tight and irregular spaces, whether that’s next to me in the flight-deck or wedged under a passenger seat. Yes, even with all the stuff I carry it fits under a typical airline passenger seat.

And thanks to a very well thought out design I don’t need to move things about or pull a whole bunch of stuff out to get to what I want. Everything has its place, and it’s a real pleasure when things get busy. It’s almost as if the Summit offers me the things I need the moment I need them.

As for durability, within the first week a porter had managed to reverse over it with a ramp vehicle and skull drag it over the tarmac. Isn’t that the way? My first thought was for the Bose A20 headset, iPad and spare glasses. The whole lot, including the flight case, completely undamaged. Not a scratch. Unbelievable.

I’m sold, and for this price what have you got to lose?

    Room for everything

I bought this bag because I wanted to consolidate down from a large travelpro cooler and a beater sporty’s flight bag. I bought the summit, the cooler insert and the matching tupperware set from strongbags. The strongbags thermal cooler holds more food than the travelpro.

It’s a big bag, but I absolutely love it. Hangs on the j hook just fine. With the cooler inserted, I can easily fit a bose a20 (in it’s original soft case), a macbook air, company ipad and an inflatable lumbar pillow. I still have room to spare.

I was also looking at the aerocoast cooler efb bag, but for everything I want to carry the summit does it better. Fits in the E175 flight deck perfectly. Highly recommend!

The Summit is the perfect size flight bag. I got the cooler insert for it and I can fit enough food for 3-4 days, my headset, iPad and laptop. So far I am loving it. Unfortunately one of the triangle “foot” pads has already come off after only three trips, but not to worry! The bag is made of durable material and I do not foresee any issues with the missing footpad.

Cam, thank you for your review. Rarely but it does happen where the pads snag on something and get ripped or torn.

The higher the bag is on the jhook or buckle, the less chance of this happening.

This is the bag to have! Perfect bag to only have two pieces of luggage. I have the cooler insert and can EASILY fit 5 days of food and the best part is that it fits into nearly every hotel refrigerator, so I don’t have to constantly get ice or take my food out.
Along with 5 days of food it seamlessly fits my iPad, backup battery brick, Bose proflight case, and dry snacks on top! Side pockets fit my huge crew water bottles. Front pocket for quick access to my passport/ear buds.
It’s all in the details of this bag…. So nice to have the top pocket and pen slots. Love the dual zippers on the top to quickly access my iPad without opening the whole top of the bag.
While this bag may be big, it fits perfectly in the E175 flight deck/overhead bins…. Even fully packed it will fit underneath the pax seats on commutes if on its side.
I pack thug bag FULL for a 6 day reserve bucket and it easily weighs 35lbs and the handles don’t show any wear/tear over 2 years of use… definitely lives up to ‘Strong Bags’

Crew members constantly ask… ‘Where did you get that bag… it is so nice!’
Solid 5 stars for the summit with the cooler insert!

I really appreciate the Summit for it’s carrying capacity while still maintaining a reasonable size. The bag fits next to me perfectly in the 717 and allows quick access to my sunglasses, food, iPad, and charging cables. It even has a very convenient spot for my pens on the top of the bag. I also purchased the cooler insert, which makes it easy to throw my food into the fridge in the hotel room.

The only drawback I have found is that the handles are too long when I attach it to my rolling bag from another brand. Unfortunately, this causes occasional contact with the ground and has eventually caused the fabric on the edge of the bag to completely wear through. Wish there was an offset handle or a smaller attachment point on the side of the bag for J-hooks.

    Otherwise, outstanding product!
