Warranty & Repairs

Strongbag Warranty Conditions

We unconditionally guarantee all unused and defective products for up to 30 days. We will repair or replace the defective item at our expense during the warranty period, provided that it is used for its intended purpose. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return any unused or defective merchandise within those 30 days for a prompt refund or exchange. The only exception is personalized or custom-made items.

This warranty does not cover what we consider normal wear and tear or abuse. If you have damage caused by airline baggage handlers or other accidental damage, this will not be covered under our warranty. However, please feel free to contact us for a suggested solution. Our Lifetime Warranty, if applicable to your purchase, covers your frame from normal use. Any blatant damage by airline baggage handlers to the frame is not covered under this Lifetime Warranty. But we have never seen a Vortex 2 Roller or Mini “V” (Vortex 2) Roller lose a battle with a ramper!

Repairs

As you know, all Vortex Rollerbag parts are replaceable, and the only tools needed are a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. During the warranty period we repair or replace all parts that have any defects in workmanship or materials. Our warranty does not cover normal wear and tear from everyday use.

If your Vortex Rollerbag is still under the three-year warranty

You must contact us before returning your bag at contact@strongbags.com for a return authorization. Please email pictures and an accurate description of your issue to help us serve you more efficiently.

Option 1: You replace the parts at home.
We will send you any parts that need replacement, free of charge, if we find that the original part is faulty. Please contact us via email at contact@strongbags.com. Replacement parts under warranty cannot be ordered on our website. You may order them at your own expense as well, but if you need help, we are just an email away! Please see the “How to Replace Parts” section for step-by-step instruction guides.

Option 2: We do the repairs for you.
If you would prefer that we do the repairs, send us your bag and we will repair and replace it, then send it back to you free of charge.* No other flight crew luggage manufacturer does this!

*We will cover up to $20 in return shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and international shipments.

Option 3: We do the repairs and lend you a loaner bag.
If you need a loaner bag while we are doing the repairs, we can send one, free of charge*. You will be responsible for the shipping charges when sending the loaner back to us, and it must be shipped via a trackable method. Once you have decided to send your bag in for repair, please contact us so we can send you the loaner bag. To make it easy, use the box that the loaner bag arrives in to send us your bag that needs repair. Once we have repaired your bag and sent it to you, use this box to return the loaner bag.

*A fully refundable deposit by credit card is required until loaner bags have been returned.

If your Strongbag Rollerbag is NOT under the 3 year warranty

Note:  We do not provide any overhaul service repairs.  Our parts are easily replaceable and you may be able to save some hard earned money by having the parts sent to you.  The options below are for partial repairs, not complete overhauls.

Option 1: You replace the parts at home
Replacement Parts are available on our website for purchase. Please see the How to Replace Parts for step-by-step instruction guides to help install your new parts.

Option 2: We do the repairs for you
If you would prefer us to do the repairs for you the costs are as follows:

Zipper replacement: Front Main $40, & any other zipper $20. Please contact us for a discounted rate if you need more than one zipper replaced.

  • Wheels & wheel well replacement | $20
  • Rollerbag handle replacement | $30
  • Exterior material replacement | $50
  • Exterior material/wheels & wheel well | $70
  • Exterior material/Rollerbag handle replacement | $75
  • Exterior material/wheels & wheel wells/Rollerbag handle | $100

NOTE: These are labor costs only and do not include the cost of the parts. You are also responsible for the round trip shipping costs, and the cost of the parts you need replacing (please see our Replacement Parts page for the correct costs).

Option 3: We do the repairs and you need a Loaner Bag
If you need a loaner bag while we are doing the repairs we send one to you, free of charge*. You will be responsible for the shipping charges to get the loaner back to us. This must be shipped via a trackable method.

Once you have decided to send your bag in for repair – please contact us – and we will send you the loaner bag. To make it easy – use the box that the loaner bag arrives in to send us your bag needing repair. Then once we have repaired your bag and sent it to you, use this box to return the loaner bag.

*A fully refundable deposit of $300 by credit card is required until loaner bag have been returned.

We do not offer Cooler bag loaners due to food allergies.

Korchmar Supplier Warranty Information

Korchmar Pilot Case Warranty

Our main goal at Korchmar is to make you comfortable about your purchase, so relax … because for 5 years following the date of purchase, Korchmar will repair or replace your item without charge with a similar item (at our option) if it is factory defective in either material or workmanship. In the unlikely event that a defect occurs: Send the piece with a brief explanation, your sales receipt, and $10.00 to cover postage and handling to:

We will return it within four weeks. (All claims must be processed directly through Korchmar, rather than the store where your piece was purchased.) Important Note: This guarantee does not cover accidental damage, improper handling, or normal wear and tear; specifically excludes claims for any item other than the piece itself. Any common carrier (plane, train, ship, and bus) is solely responsible for damage to your business case incurred while in its possession. (KORCHMAR does not recommend ever checking business cases as luggage.) Examine your business case immediately after each trip. If it is damaged, submit a claim before leaving the terminal. (KORCHMAR will make every effort to repair damages due to misuse or accident at a moderate charge.) This guarantee does not cover scars, wrinkles, or minor scratches that are natural to all leathers.
